Halloween is coming. This is the time of year when we are inundated with movies, messages and advertisements that focus on death, the occult, witchcraft and all things spooky. It is the time of year when we are more willing to be scared as a part of our being entertained. We are going to focus on just one part of this phenomenon, the part that deals with witchcraft. Witchcraft is real – there are many forms of it and again we will focus in on one primarily, that which is called Wicca. Wicca is what is known as “white witchcraft,” and it has standards of behavior that teach to harm no one. So, if this is the case, is Wicca “bad?” Stay with us as we look into Wicca – what it is based on, how it works and what our reactions should be.
