Theme Scripture: Psalms 144:15
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – these are the stated freedoms that we here in America are all ideally given the opportunity to own, as stated on our Declaration of Independence. As for "life" and "liberty," we will look at those next week. That leaves us "the pursuit of happiness" part for today. While being happy is not actually promised, we are promised an environment in which we can pursue it. So, how is your pursuit going? Where are you looking? Are you keeping it once you find it? How do you hold onto it? Listen to this podcast for encouragement and practical suggestions...you’ll be happy you did!

Theme Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:27
It has been 2,000 years since Jesus walked the earth with the good tidings of the Gospel. When he finished his work, he left the infant religion of Christianity in the faithful hands of the twelve Apostles. These men “prospered and grew” Christianity. So 2,000 years later, in a world that is mostly non-Christian and largely secular, is the work of the Gospel still “prospering and growing?" Are we now achieving what our Lord Jesus set out for us to do? Stay with us as we look at the cold hard facts of Christianity in the world today.

Theme Scripture: Matthew 4:19-20
We previously discussed this great apostle in Part I of our conversation. We covered his life from his being introduced in the Scriptures as a typical fisherman from Galilee, up to his proclamation that Jesus was the Messiah and his angst at Jesus saying that he, Jesus, would have to die. These three things typify the life of Peter: a regular guy of no singular background, impetuous – willing to speak up when others would not, and often getting into some kind of trouble for things he said or did. Stay with us as we look further into this utterly fascinating life of a man who would become one of Christianity's greatest leaders. When you are ready, finish the story with Part III.

Theme Scripture: Obadiah 1:21
The Avengers movie has been a box office sensation, breaking all kinds of records. Why? Good movie, good story, good special effects and (wait for it!) superheroes...lots of superheroes! We all love looking up to those who will stand for what’s right and save the world. We all especially love the fact that these heroes, while super, are flawed as well and they still fight for what is right! Does God’s plan for humanity include such heroes? Who would they be? What would they do? Would they – could they - save the world? Stay with us!
