Over the last ten plus years, we here at Christian Questions have talked to you about the world, life, the past, the present and the future, all from a biblical perspective. Occasionally, we have taken the time to address the question that begs to be asked: “Why the Bible?” as our ultimate source, inspiration and guidepost. This program deals squarely with that issue. Why the Bible? How do we know that the Bible is God’s word? How do we know that the Bible has the right books in it and doesn’t have the wrong books? How do we know that the books of the Bible are authentic and not some made up documents? Stay with us as we look at this astounding book and trace its astounding history. Does the Bible have integrity? Let’s find out!

Last week we talked about the idea of trusting in God and how the founding fathers of this nation did so as they laid the groundwork for “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” After that VERY lively conversation, we thought it would make sense to build upon the theme, but this time in a personal way. While it is great to talk about a society having trust in God, what about us as individuals? How do we really, truly and sincerely, show our personal trust in God? What should we be doing? How should we be thinking? Individual trust in God ends up being a matter of holiness. The more you truly trust, the holier you become. Stay with us as we look into the keys of this trust and ask the difficult question, How do we become wholly holy?

This weekend is a holiday weekend. Most of us had Friday off and many of us are having picnics, going to the beach, and having lots of fun. On this program we want to look at the reason for this holiday in the same manner we look at everything – from a biblical perspective. The 4th of July holiday is all about freedom, but it is also about the founding fathers' trust in God and His benevolence. Stay with us as we give respect to those who gave their lives so we could be a free people, and as we trace the role the God of Heaven played in their courage and actions. They trusted in God – do we?
