Kindly pray for me,l find it hard to severe when provoked,as much l try to be calm at center of it,l found myself overreacted which leads me to feel guilty. I pray for wisdom and decrement from the holy spirit.
Hi, Jacinta, emotions are definitely a tricky thing to deal with. Some of us are much more reactive than others, making it difficult to react “properly.” While being emotional is good, being overly so can lead us to making poor decisions in the moment. We recommend listening to Episode #1104: “How Do I Know My Decisions Are Right?” Revealing and applying the mechanics of great decision-making. In it, we discuss a quote often attributed to Auschwitz survivor Viktor Frankl, “Between stimulus and response there is a space…in that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Taking a beat to keep our emotions in check before responding gives us enough space to ask evaluate the righteous response and in turn, glorify God. Please listen and let us know what you think! Lord bless – Christian Questions
