We live in a time where wanting something is a good thing, and why shouldn’t it be? After all, our own Declaration of Independence states that each human being possesses the unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This seems to indicate that pursuing those things that you want so you can be happy are good pursuits. Further, our country was founded upon the biblical principles of the Old Testament Law, so on the surface there certainly seems to be a contradiction here.
