TRANSCRIPT: How do we know God exists when we can’t see Him?
God is a spirit being, which means, like all spirit beings, He’s invisible. However, we don’t need to see Him to know He’s there. We can’t see the wind, but we CAN see what the wind can do - we can see the wind blowing through the trees, and the wind affecting ripples on the water, too! We are seeing the EFFECTS of the wind, but not the wind itself. We also can’t see electricity, but we know it’s there when we turn on the lights. It’s the same with our Heavenly Father. We know He’s there because we can see ALL of the amazing things He created. He made people, animals, trees, stars, and He even created something as intricate and unique a snowflake! You name it, He made it! We can also see and feel God in OUR lives by feeling his influence in our experiences, seeing how He guides our paths and seeing how He touches our hearts. All of these clues prove that God is real and He exists. Another big, important clue we use is the Bible. God gave us the Bible where He speaks to us and teaches about Himself and what He expects of us. The Bible tells us to treat others with love. God has also given us an idea of what will happen in the future through prophecies written in the Bible. We know God exists because we see God working in our lives and prophecies in the Bible have come true. Even though we can’t see Him with our eyes, it’s pretty clear He exists. We are all so blessed to be able to know Him!
