How Many Resurrections Will There Be?

Resurrection. It is synonymous with the most basic tenets of Christian belief, no matter what denomination, sect or group one may come from. For most of us, we think about Jesus and the fact of his resurrection and we think about the prospect of our own resurrection. On the surface it sounds pretty simple – be faithful, die and then go to heaven – but – what if the doctrine of resurrection entailed more than that? Jesus is Risen and the World is Saved!

Life, death and taxes – those are three things that we as a race have all come to experience. It is a cycle that we accept and a process we adapt to even though the ending is not to our liking. Stay with us as we honor his life, his death, and his kingship!

Does God love all things? Does God love this world and all in it – the evil included? Does God hate and if He does, wouldn’t He be hating that which He created? What about the earth? Does God love this earth, I mean, is God “green?” If He does love the earth then will He destroy it? Stay with us as we look into the book that reveals the mind of God on such matters!

We as Christians all hold the life, death and resurrection of Jesus as the centerpiece of our faith. Without Jesus, we are nothing. One of the key factors about this sacred truth that actually divides Christianity is the application of the sacrifice of Jesus. Just who did he die for and who, if any, are excluded from the benefit of his death? Stay with us as we look into a variety of perspectives and try to find the biblical principles that seal the answer to this question.

Will God Save the Earth? (Part II)

Last week we discussed God being the inventor of green - we looked at many scriptures that helped us to understand that God's intention is not to destroy the Earth, but to in fact preserve it. There are many scriptural symbols used, such as "mountains," seas," "heavens being burned up," and others. We then looked at the great time of trouble predicted. So, if God isn't going to destroy the physical world, why is it in such turmoil now? There is another important aspect of this called the Day of Judgment. This program will build upon 1) the fact that the Earth abides forever, 2) the fact that the Scriptures a talk about a great day of trouble, and 3) is the Day of Judgment in the time of trouble or are they two separate events. And what happens after Judgment Day?
