The time has come. The time when candy becomes a dietary staple, kids stay up and are out late running throughout neighborhoods collecting candy, disguised as anything from Ninja Turtles, to Frankenstein to princesses to monsters to political figures, ghosts and aliens. If you are a kid, it is pure fun. But the older you get, the darker the source of the fun. At some point for many, this fun now takes on stories of witchcraft, death, darkness and devilry. Obviously, we are talking about Halloween. What is it about this holiday that brings out so much that seems so sinister? Stay with us – you may be surprised!
