Theme Scripture: Isaiah 53:5
Sickness and disease are a scourge of humanity. Far too often we witness good and decent people contract some serious disease or malady and we watch as their quality of life goes from bad to worse. Science and medicine have worked wonders in the fight against such things, but the battle still rages on. The Bible reveals many examples of healings – miraculous healings that overcome sickness. Are we as Christians privy to that miraculous healing power today? Can we and should we stand in the path of illness, claiming the name of Jesus as our rightful miracle cure?
More pwer, and God Bless You All. Can I ask you a question? What is the thorn in the flesh of Apostle Paul? Thank You.
Thank you for your question about 2 Corinthians 12:7. Although the Bible does not specifically say what the thorn was, we think it likely was his eyesight after having been blinded in the way to Damascus. The thorn was a reminder of a previous error that kept him humble, so it makes sense that he would guide against pride and self-sufficiency after how he persecuted Christians as Saul before that miraculous event. The Apostle Paul referred to himself as “the least of the Apostles” (1 Corinthians 15:9), exhibiting the humble spirit we all can learn from and emulate.
