Do I have to help the needy if they are poor stewards?

Is it wrong to NOT freely give to others who have chosen to be poor stewards of their lives and make poor choices of how they might use money they are given?

There are many scriptures that tell us to freely give to the needy. However, there may be some people who are not in need, but instead are in want! The meaning behind the scriptural direction to give to the needy is to give to those who CANNOT provide for themselves. Focus your giving on those with true needs.
