What Have You Built YOUR Life Upon?

Life can be likened to a house. Some houses are spacious and elegant – people tend to notice them when they go by. Some houses are smaller, functional and more basic – people tend to look past them when they go by. When you think about it, whether the house is elegant or basic, the most important part of it is its foundation. What that foundation is made of and built upon has a direct bearing on how long that house is able to endure. So, what about YOUR life – what is your foundation made of and what is it built on? Is your Christian life able to weather any storm?

How is Jesus “The Truth”? (Part II)

Jesus had an amazing way of saying a lot with few words. Jesus had a mission – he spoke about it, lived it and taught its principles. A major part of that mission was to open the way of "sonship" to the Father. Jesus told us he IS the way to the Father and he also IS the Truth. What does that mean? How could he BE the truth? Stay with us as we try and reveal just what he was talking about.

How is Jesus “The Way”? (Part I)

On the night before his crucifixion and literally hours before he would begin a sleepless ordeal of beatings, humiliation and accusation, Jesus took his precious time to give comfort to his truest followers. He spoke of what would happen, of God’s care for them and of his love and devotion to them. He taught them to serve, be humble and to live with joy. Jesus also told them how to be faithful and let them know that he - Jesus - was the key to it all. Jesus said that he is the way – what did he mean by that?

Did Jesus Die For Atheists?

Atheism – for many of us who profess Christianity, even hearing the word conjures up a need to defend oneself and one’s faith. Sometimes we envision an Atheist as one whose objective in life is to ridicule not only us but the mechanism of our faith. And not just the mechanism of our faith, but the very object of our faith – God Almighty. So what do we have? We have envisioned Atheism as an enemy – as an object of our disdain…but wait a minute – Jesus clearly taught us to love our enemies, so what does that mean? Did Jesus himself love those who profess Atheism – did Jesus die for Atheists? If so, then how should we show them the love of Christ?

What is the Point of Christmas?

'Tis the season to be jolly! Christmas happened just a few days ago so we ask the question, what really happened? Did we watch Christmas specials and listen to all kinds of holiday music? I hope we did! I hope we took the time to reconnect with a spirit of love, life and giving. I hope we entered into the happiness that this season brings! Now the big question – how did we recognize the true reason for the season – how did we honor the life to change all lives? Well, if you are looking for more of that part of things, stick around – we have a story to tell!!!

What Can We Learn From Noah? (Part II)

Several weeks ago we looked into the life and times of Noah, the righteous man of God who built the Ark upon dry ground in obedience to the will and direction of God. The flood came and destroyed a world that had not only become a society without God, it had become a society that destroyed God. Spirit and human being alike took the goodness of God’s creation, mixed it into a forbidden hybrid formula of intelligence and form that may have resembled God’s intentions on the outside, but on the inside was a force that rebelled against all that God stood for. The Bible tells us that the resulting destruction was a preview of future destruction to come…has the full length feature of that preview arrived?
