What Will the World Look Like in the 22nd Century?

There is something about looking into the future that really fascinates us. What will things be like 100 years from now? Will cancer be cured? Will the world powers that we have today be the world powers of tomorrow? Will our reality be experienced virtually? Will we get along? Or, will the world be a scene of utter destruction caused by man-made global warming, or will it be destroyed by nuclear winter, or disease? Will an asteroid end life as we know it or will the wrath of God burn the planet and all on it to a crisp? Well, we believe biblical prophecy tells us a lot about the future and we believe that it tells us with a startling measure of detail. Stay with us as we walk down a path of prophecy and look back so we can see the future!

Our world has come to a point where it has the capacity to destroy all living things. What is going to happen with this great power? We all know that Jesus came to save the world from sin and death. We all know that Jesus opened the way to heaven for his truest followers. We all also know that Jesus taught frequently about “The Kingdom of Heaven”. What we may not know is what he meant by that phrase, because it is used in a variety of ways that seem to contradict one another. So, how do we figure out what Jesus was really talking about when he spoke of “The Kingdom of Heaven”?

Can the World Be Restored?

Our world is a mess. Our people are a mess. Our governments have no answers. We live in a time of the greatest enlightenment, the greatest knowledge and the greatest progress history has ever recorded, yet we also at the same time are experiencing the utter collapse of morality, respect and integrity. Was this all part of God’s plan or are we beyond His scope? Can this world be restored or is it a hopeless loss?

Does God Really Love This World?

We as Christians cling to the truth that God is Love. We cling to its stability, its longevity and its unchangeableness. God is Love. So, what does that mean and how far does that extend? Does God love all things? Does God love this world and all in it – the evil included? Does God hate and if He does, wouldn’t He be hating that which He created? What about the earth? Does God love this earth, I mean, is God “green?” If He does love the earth then will He destroy it? Stay with us as we look into the book that reveals the mind of God on such matters!

Is the Japan Earthquake Part of God’s Plan?

This was a tragedy. The recent earthquake, just off the coast of northern Japan, was the fifth largest ever recorded in human history. While the quake itself was not terribly damaging, the tsunamis it spawned were another story. From a personal standpoint, I have NEVER seen anything so destructive and powerful as those waves which literally engulfed everything in their path. So, what does all of this mean from a Christian standpoint? Did God make the earth quake – did God send the waves? Could God have stopped this? Stay with us as we consider these difficult and piercing questions.

Will God Save the Earth? (Part II)

Last week we discussed God being the inventor of green - we looked at many scriptures that helped us to understand that God's intention is not to destroy the Earth, but to in fact preserve it. There are many scriptural symbols used, such as "mountains," seas," "heavens being burned up," and others. We then looked at the great time of trouble predicted. So, if God isn't going to destroy the physical world, why is it in such turmoil now? There is another important aspect of this called the Day of Judgment. This program will build upon 1) the fact that the Earth abides forever, 2) the fact that the Scriptures a talk about a great day of trouble, and 3) is the Day of Judgment in the time of trouble or are they two separate events. And what happens after Judgment Day?

Have you noticed that the earth is in rough shape? We are presently dealing with an environmental disaster in the Gulf – 200 million plus gallons of oil spilled. All of this and one can begin to wonder about the earth itself and how long it will last. Is the earth doomed to destruction, by man’s own doing or by God’s will, or does God have other plans for it? Stay with us as we look to find out the destiny of this third rock from the sun as well as the destiny for those who live on it.

How Does the Bible Describe a Kingdom on Earth?

Here at Christian Questions, for almost ten years, we have discussed many different topics. We specifically have found on the subject of Hell that there is no place of torment or purgatory. They simply don’t exist. Our study in search of truth finds that the Bible teaches a heavenly resurrection for the true Christian and an earthly resurrection for all the rest of humanity. Quite simply, this is a Heaven and Earth and not a Heaven and Hell scenario. The Creator designed a plan for the human family that lasts an eternity...and that’s a long time! A God that is merciful, patient, kind, full of grace and forgiving must have a clue for us to how this earthly kingdom of restoration and reformation is explained in His word. Stay with us while we find out what the Bible teaches about God’s kingdom on earth.
