We examined Islam’s peaceful approach to life and some of the similarities to Judaism and Christianity. This morning we will ask: What about Jihad? Who exactly was Mohammad? We have to remember that not all Arabs (Ishmaelites) are Muslim and not all Muslims are Arabs (Ishmaelites). The Muslims in Iran are Persian and in Turkey, they are Turks. In Africa, well…
As a matter of fact, we know that Ishmael was NOT a Muslim. He believed in the God of Abraham and Isaac. Apparently, Ishmael came to terms with not being Abraham’s heir, or the heir of the promise, because he and Isaac retained a relationship. So much so, that they came together to bury Abraham. (Genesis 25:9)
