The devil is pretty popular these days. Think about it – his name and influence come up in all kinds of places – we have ʺdevil’s food cakesʺ – why? I LOVE chocolate, but I don’t like the name! You have heard the phrase “the devil is in the details.” Or what about, “I had a devil of a time?” Then of course there is “the devil made me do it!” Movies and television often glorify the devil and what he stands for – I mean, does the devil REALLY wear Prada? So, what does all of this mean? Should we be worried that the devil seems to have permeated our lives? Who is he anyway? How much of an effect does he have on our lives? Stay with us as we look into the origin, the description and the objectives of the devil. What should we know about the devil? Plenty!!

  1. If demons get into our body can they not know what we are thinking, if they don’t know what we are thinking how do the make us do things when they in our body????

    1. Thank you for these thought-provoking questions! Do you have a Scripture to indicate one way or the other that during demon possession they could read personal thoughts? Perhaps it was more like when we hear of people who sleepwalk. Their bodies are moving and going through various physical motions but their minds have no memory of the action. The overall lesson, of course, is to fill our minds with such a focus on the Lord God and Jesus that there is no space for the darkness to enter. We want to be careful the programs we watch on TV, for example, as so much of what is out there is dark and supernatural. We know that God is stronger than any of the evil powers and we use His strength – its unbeatable! – Christian Questions
