Are You Your Brother’s Keeper?
It seems hard to believe, but this past Friday was the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America. If you remember in the days and weeks following, people changed – we were all more reflective, we were all more sober and we were all very aware of our interconnectedness with each other. During that time, it seemed as though what happened to others was really important and how we could help them was pressing. I would venture to say that during that period of time, we all lived a collective understanding of what it meant to be our brother’s keeper. So, where are we now? Are we still just as aware of our responsibility to one another? Do we know what our responsibility is to one another? Stay with us as we look into the elements and responsibilities of being ʺour brother’s keeper.ʺ
