Should it be Israel or Palestine?

Our world is full of controversy. There are controversies over politics, equal rights, taxation, economic principles, global warming and the right to life, to name a few. Amongst the most noted and longest lasting controversies of our day is the controversy over Israelies, the Palestinians, and the land that they both live on. Think about it – in an oil rich region where there are over 220 million Arabs residing, one of the greatest world-wide attention getters is the tiny sliver of land called Israel – a land of NO oil to speak of, 6 million Jews and about 1 million Arabs. Swirling around this tiny land that is about the size of New Jersey are questions about who has a right to claim the land as their own and who doesn’t. Stay with us as we look into this question from a biblical, historical and present day perspective. Should it be Israel or Palestine?

What Should Palm Sunday Mean to Us?

For Christians there is no more meaningful time of year than the spring. Aside from the natural cycle of the physical world coming back to life,spring is the season in which we celebrate the fact that life on earth had itsonce and forever life-altering event – the death and resurrection of JesusChrist. As we will see over these next two weeks of programs, this eventchanged the world forever. This week, we will focus on some of the events prior, particularly Palm Sunday and its magnificent significance in the overall unfolding of God’s plan. What should Palm Sunday mean to us? On this program, we will talk about one of these people. He happens to have lived at a pivotal point in history, he was one of the greatest prophets in history and even experienced some of the most dramatic miracles in history. This man was Daniel. His life was one of the most inspiring in all of Scripture as he was a clear and uncorrupted example of what it means to honor God your whole life through. How do You Change the World?

Changing the world. I’m sure that many of you listening have thought about that at one time or another. What would we do, how would we do it, what results would we look for. This morning, we are going to talk about how to change the world from two standpoints; one, our personal world, that is positively affecting those around us. This approach was inspired by the passing of a dear friend of ours, who while only in his 40’s was taken by cancer. Tim left his mark – he changed the world around him and we want to honor that this morning by observing his methods. 2nd, we will look at God’s plan to change the world – the whole world and trace his methods as well. It will come as no surprise to learn the similarities between them. So, stay with us as we learn just how to change the world!

Did God Promise a Kingdom on Earth?

All Christians know the Lord’s prayer. It is taught when we are little children. Did you ever think about this phrase “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven?ʺ Why would Jesus teach us to pray for God’s kingdom to come on earth if it was not to be? Are there any other references to this earthly kingdom in the Bible? Stay with us as we look into this matter of God and His promised kingdom: Where it will be? Who will be in it? When it will be? Why it will be? How it will all take place?
